Normally speaking the types of Common motors are divided to DC motor and AC motor 

DC motor divided to  Brushed DC motor , Brushless DC motor ,and Stepper motor .

What is Brushless DC Motor?

A brushless DC motor or BLDC motor is an electric motor powered by direct current and generates its motion without any brushes like in normally typical DC Motors.  

In a typical brushed DC motor, brushes  (the commutator) make motor change the direction. 

A brushless motor (BLDC) consist of two main parts, a stator and a rotor.   the rotor is a permanent magnet with two poles, while the stator consists of coils. 

In a brushless motor, the brushes are replaced by magnets, eliminating friction while still delivering the power ,then motor ran run more efficiently. This increased efficiency is particularly beneficial for battery-powered devices or equipment, as it helps extend battery working life and runtime.

Brushless motors are also famous for their improved durability, smooth torque delivery, and high-speed operation if we compared the brushless motor to  brushed motors. They are commonly used in various applications, including power tools, electric vehicles, and drones, due to their lightweight, compact design, and low maintenance requirements.

Brushless motors are more popular nowadays than conventional brushed DC motors because they have better efficiency, can deliver precise torque and rotation speed control, and offer high durability and low electrically noise, Although the lack of brushes.  

BLDC motors are used in applications where efficiency and longevity is required, like washing machines, air conditioners and other consumer electronics etc .
