A,  Advantages of Straight Gears:


Straight cut gears are  known for producing no axial load like helical gears, As there is No axial load: Unlike helical gears, straight-cut gears produce no axial load, which means there is no


restriction on torque. This makes them VERY suitable and Popular for high-torque applications, such as racing cars.


1,Durability: The elimination of thrust force in straight gears protects the output shafts and other bearings from excessive wear, ensuring a longer lifespan for the components.  


2, Efficiency:Straight  transmission does not produce any heat due to its absence of axis load., resulting in increased energy efficiency.


3, Simplicity: Straight gears are easier to assemble and maintain due to their simple design.


4, Cost: They are generally charge less money than helical gears also, as they do not require synchronizers.Especially in the reverse gear part where three gears are needed to perform the


reverse action,Since cheper , they are use for the reverse gear operation.


B, Disadvantages of Straight Gears


Nothing is an exception to drawbacks, Straight cut gears also have their own downside too.


1, Noise-driving: Straight gears are known for producing more noise than helical gears. This is because the teeth tap on eachother  when working, creating a loud whining sound.


2, Smoothness: Straight gears are less smooth and efficient than helical gears, As you know the helical gears are engage gradually and produce less noise.


3, Load capacity: Straight gears cannot designed to carry heavy loads as efficiently as helical gears, as you know helical gears distribute force more effectively due to their spiral teeth


In summary, straight gears are suitable for high-torque applications where noise and smoothness are not primary concerns.  Same time with much less cost  too.
